Hillary Kerr: Welcome to the WhoWhatWear fashion closet. I am Hillary Kerr.
Katherine Power: And I am Katherine Power. We are sure, you have noticed that whenever celebrities and models go out, they always have chic seemingly effortless party hair.
Hillary Kerr: We will show you how to achieve some of these no fuss high impact looks, but first checkout the great celebrities styles that inspire today's episode.
Katherine Power: Molly Sims switched up her long locks without loosing an inch of hair. She transformed her typical do into a temporary bob for New York Fashion Week. We also have Charlize Theron who went for Hollywood's favorite Enchant band at the premier for her new movie in Los Angeles.
Hillary Kerr: Today we are at the Chris McMillan Salon in Beverly Hills. We are with celebrity stylist Kristoff Ball. He is going to show us the two looks. First up we have the sort of tousled Faux bob that we have been seeing a lot of on red carpet.
Katherine Power: What kind of hair does this style work best on?
Kristoff Ball: This hairstyle works better on wavy hair.
Katherine Power: So what did you do to adjust it there, you just start it off by curling some of them?
Kristoff Ball: Simply and easy, I curled her hair using the 1.5 inch barrel. Then I separated them in two sections, the back section, a little bit above of the occipital bone right at the ear, all way back. Then all I am going to do is pull that back and use that as a loose pointer.
Katherine Power: So you basically just split the hair and pull the ponytail through?
Kristoff Ball: I come straight at the middle with it and up where you want to design it. All I am doing is pining it, crisscross in your pins, get it to hold on a lot tighter. Now we are going to have the hair cast straight down, the hair that we set, separate that all top pieces.
Katherine Power: So that's basically your top layer that you've held back on?
Kristoff Ball: That's why I held it there.
Hillary Kerr: Now we are going to go into modern non-fussy Up-Do.
Kristoff Ball: What we are going to do is, we are going to take her hair pull it back. If you want to have height, it depends on what you want to do, but if you want it height, you want to put your ponytail high. If you want it low, you want to put the ponytails low.
Katherine Power: So are you dividing the hair into two sections here?
Kristoff Ball: Two evenly sections, semi-even.
Katherine Power: Nothing is ever too perfect here?
Kristoff Ball: No, nothing is ever perfect. Now all we are going to do is tie these in a knot. And with the layers, then you create new little pieces, your textures and if I find an end I don't like, just easy take a little bobby pin, spread it, push it in.
Katherine Power: It's clean and slick in a front, but then the back is a little bit more messy.
Kristoff Ball: Serious is in the front, party in the back or something like that, it's like a mallet.
Hillary Kerr: Thank you Kristoff and thank you for watching WhoWhatWear TV. For more celebrity and fashion coverage, go to www.whowhatweardaily.com.
