Hello and welcome to Who What Wear TV.
Hillary Kerr: We are your hosts. I am Hillary Kerr.
Katherine Power: And I am Katherine Power and today we are going to show you some of our favorite styles and shapes when it comes to coats and jackets for fall.
Hillary Kerr: But before we get into all of that, let's take a look at the outerwear choices from a few stylish ladies.
Katherine Power: Every fall season, there are dozens of coat styles to choose from and they are always available on a range of colors and materials. This year we are taking inspiration from a few incredibly different women and focusing on three main shapes; the little leather jacket, the cape, and the short-sleeve coat.
Hillary Kerr: As a general rule, smaller busted woman look best in double-breasted coats and jackets, while woman with a bigger bust should checkout outerwear with a deep neck and cinched in vest. You should try to invest in two different types of outwear every couple of years. First, a really warm coat that falls at least to the knee and second, a lighter choice like a cropped blazer, a leather jacket or a trench coat for those not so cold months.
Katherine Power: First up is probably the most popular style we've seen for several fall seasons now. It's the little leather jacket.
Hillary Kerr: Now the style is still big this year and we think it looks best, worn with slim jeans and some cool accessories, like this bright scarf and this fantastic take on a fanny pack.
Katherine Power: Next, we have what we like to call the practical cape. It looks like a cape and it feels like a cape but it has arms. So it's a bit more wearable.
Hillary Kerr: Like most cape coats, this one is perfect for layering a turtleneck and sweater underneath.
Katherine Power: Finally, an old classic that is recently made its way back into current fashion, the short-sleeve coat. You'd be surprised how wearing a long-sleeve sweater and elbow-length gloves will keep you just as warm as if you were wearing a full regular sleeve.
Katherine Power: Thanks for watching Who What Wear TV's fall outerwear guide.
