Why Choose to Perform a Cesarean

Male: You may wonder how your child will enter the world. It a caesarian section best for you and your baby? Female: Some women walk into delivery already slated to have a caesarian. These high risk moms may have placental problems, a breech presentation baby, a multi fetal pregnancy or have had previous uterine surgery. Women who are HIV positive or have an active general herpes infection may also require C section. More frequently though, a C section is not scheduled in advance, and for woman cervix does not dilate properly or if the baby’s head is too large to fit to the pelvis, a caesarian section becomes necessary. Other in the moment problems can also lead to emergency C sections, such as fetal distress, a ruptured uterus or a too exhausted mom.
