Why Does A DJ: Use A Pitch Bend

Alright folks, this is video number 16 in a selection I am doing entitled, why does a DJ use. In this one, I am going to be looking at these buttons here. You can see above a minus and a plus and the middle you got the word bend. You can find these two buttons on 99 percent of CDJs around the world and quite often in those pitch bend very quickly first what we are going to do and just to give you an idea of what they actually do but, we are going to show you first of all the usage of this guy here, the joker mere enough does exactly to say this two buttons. The joker on the tabletop CD player is a large lined circle of the dead center. Well the problem is that the white piece of paper as just to show you the actual movement of the joker. So, we will play the music and we would not touch anything. The pitch control we will keep in dead center. We will not touch the pitch control at all so we will play the music without touching anything first. clockwise with my finger and we can hear the music bigger. Take the finger off the jock rail and you can hear that the music has gone back to its original speed. Within the jock of the anti clock wise and you can hear it is slowing down so, of the jock rail and the music goes back to its original speed. I am going to do now is touch the minus and the bend or the pitch bend and we can hear the music is exactly the same thing when I was moving the actual jock rail anti clock wise, music is now, it seems as I take my finger off the pitch bend, the music goes back to its version of speed. When I touch then the plus on the pitch bend, the music speeds up which is exactly the same was when I was touching the jock rail and moving the jock rail clockwise. As soon as I take my finger off the bend or the pitch bend, the music goes back to its original speed. Now the DJ will use the minus and plus pitch bend just to basically fine tune the beat, it has got its boom beat with the actual track that is playing. Thanks for watching, practice and enjoy.
