Shalom, this is video number two in the Jews not for Jesus, why we just do not believe them and what to say when somebody comes to you and pretends to be Jewish or claims as Jewish and says, “You should believe in Jesus.” Now again, this is nothing against Christianity, Christians who want to live as Christians, that perfectly fine. We know Judaism was two thousand before Jesus, Jesus lived as a Jew. Christians who want to be Christians that is fine, but do not try to be Jewish and believe and Jesus, it just does not work. It is religious treason.
Now, when somebody says to you, “Why you do not believe in Jesus?” You can simply say, “Why should I am, I am very happy with our religion and our religion was 2000 years older that Jesus.” Well he say, “Why really you do not believe in Jesus?” Well, number one, nothing happened when he came to indicate to us the Messiah was here. The world is still a mess and the bible never talks about two Messiahs. The Hebrew bible is quite clear that human being can not be God.
And throw it back at them and say, “Well, why not you believe in Mohammad? There is a billion people that were saying Mohammad came and gave a better of revelation. Or why are you not Mormons or Moonies?” People keep coming and saying I got a better bye and we got a newer revelation, so does it logically make any sense that God will come twice and not three or four or five or six times and sending new prophets? Why do you stop there? It does not make any sense.
Well then they will say, “But there was not only in the Old Testament have verses proving Jesus is the Messiah and God.” Well, I dealt with the main virgin birth one before but you deal with every single one. And throw back at them Numbers 12 and Deuteronomy 13. Number 12 clearly says only Moses gets word for word and Deuteronomy 13 went exactly about why is this happening. And then you say, “Does it not bother your never wants ever that specifically say Jesus anywhere? I mean. What would have been the big problem for God to simply whisper it to somebody—“Oh there is a guy that is going to come at some point named Jesus.” You have to twist and turn every verse and enormous translations anyway, does not make any sense.
Well then he say, “Well, if you do not accept Jesus you are going to hell.” Well, you know from my point of view anybody tries to seduce a Jew away Judaism is going to hell. The bible is very clear about that, it is really religious treason. But in any case, we do not care if you believe Christian and Christianity that is perfectly fine. Christianity is a perfectly fine religion. It is monotheistic. It has the basic ideas of Judaism, you do not have to be Jewish if you are a Christian, but you certainly you have to be Jewish if you are Jewish.
And to abandon Judaism for another religion which for Jews does not make any sense is not meaningful. Then they may ask, “Well then, what is Jesus to you?” You could be very respectful and you can say to them, “What is Mohammad to you?” I am going to ask what Jesus that does and I explained them in Jews for Jesus video more about this, Jesus was a very nice guy I am sure, he kept Kosher, he observe the Sabbath, he prayed our prayers, he was a teacher and this is a pre-rabbi, so he was not really in that title but if I believe he was the Messiah or God, that is ridicule and blasphemy in our perspective.”
Then they will say, “Did not your people kill Jesus?” Well then say to them, “Did not your people kill six million Jews? No. Our people did not kill Jesus. We believe that, if you read the whole history the period and know how the Jews changed our text about the Hanukkah and the Torah because they are worried about the Roman, so it is clear that the Christians changed the New Testament that we believe because we are worried about the Romans and so he blamed the Jews instead of the Romans. But even so, the Catholic Church and Vatican too said that to say that is a sin—that Jews killed Jesus. And even if there were a few bad Jews at that time who did something wrong, “Are you going to blame me 2000 years later for that? Do I blame you for Christians killing six million Jews during the holocaust?”
So then, they will finally say, “Well, if Jesus was a Jew, then why you can not believe in Jesus is still be Jewish?” When you decide that human being is God, we are no longer Jewish. Once you decide that there is any other God before “Adonai” you are no longer a Jewish. Once you decide in the trinity, you are no longer Jewish. So, God is infinite, ultimate, unknowing—you can not believe in God and believe that Jesus is the Son of God, it will still be Jewish.
So, Christians should be Christians, Jewish should be Jews and do not ever buy this stuff about Jews for Jesus or this messianic so called Jewish thing. It is all just shallow things and there is nothing to it and we believe it as religious treason.
