watchmojo.com and today, we’ll be continuing our travels here with a look at Singapore.
Singapore is an island country located in southeast Asia. The country consists mainly of one major
metropolis, its capital, Singapore city making it a city state. The country is found just 85 miles or 137 km
north of the equator and thus features a tropic rainforest climate. The country’s population is roughly
4.85 million. Official languages spoken in Singapore including English, Malay, Tamil and Chinese. This
variety of backgrounds affects the country’s traditions and crosscultural cuisine which has become a rich
example of the country’s diversity. It has also resulted in several distinct ethnic neighborhoods. These
different ethnicities help make tourism one of the country’s most important industries and make it a
rich destination to visit.
