Raena Morgan: So how do people get sick? Which part of the immune system doesn’t function? Or is that the correct way to put it?
Dr. Larry Robinson: Well, how the immune system functions is just how well does it function and is it balanced? People are always objected to various types of pathogens. They’re everywhere, they’re unique with us, you’re always going to be exposed to it. So the question is, why do some people get sick and others remain well? And it’s generally because some people can tolerate the stress better because their immune system is functioning properly and other people can’t because it’s not. It’s really that simple.
Raena Morgan: Okay. So for some people, it’s just stronger, and for others, it’s weaker. Is that what you’re saying?
Dr. Larry Robinson: Well, not even that? It’s more of a question of balance. You can have a very strong immune system but it can be out of balance and you could be suffering from allergies or asthma and extreme cases of autoimmune diseases where your body is literally attacking itself through the immune system. So a weak system of course, you are not going to maybe have allergies perhaps which you may be sick constantly. And in fact, there are various immune disorders where you see both of these types of problems.
Raena Morgan: Alright. Well, thank you very much Dr. Robinson.
