Hi, this is Francisco Bujan from VitalCoaching.com. We are talking about diet, nutrition and fitness strategies. And the topic for this video is why shift to a raw food diet. The first thing I want to tell you is that I am not a nutritionist. The strategies that I give you here are purely out of my own experimenting. I have been trying certain things. I have been coaching people on these kind of things. So I come out from a very practical approach and maybe these strategies are something you can benefit from. You can start applying them in your life, because I have been trying them for myself and they seem to work great. So, the thing I want to tell you as well is that, I don’t have a family. It means that right now, I don’t live with kids. I don’t live with demanding partner or I don’t have this circle of demands around me. So when I make a shift, I make them for myself. So these strategies are usually a little bit more easier to apply if you are single, or if you are in a casual or light relationship with somebody. If you have children and the whole family to feed, maybe you will need to adapt to these traditions a bit more. But here it is, why shift to a raw food diet and why this is good for you? Well, when you cook food, basically, you loose a lot of the micronutrients that are contained in the food. So the fact that you heat the food or cook it, it breaks down all these micronutrients and what happens then is that you need to eat much more to get the same amount of energy and vitamins into your system. So when you eat it raw, basically, you eat something which is much closer to its original state and it is still alive. It means that you don’t get or ingest certain amount of calories and certain amount of fat or proteins, you get as well live force in your system. And if you are a bit sensitive to that, if you notice the change, it is a massive powerful change that you give to your body, to yourself because you are taking in products which are much more live, much more full of energy. Think about it that way. What is it that comes any closer to your body than food? You take it in your mouth, it goes inside your system, you digest it and then all that feeds your body. So you are what you eat, right? You heard that before and it is true to a certain extent. It means that if you take in junk food or heavily processed products, eventually, your body is going to start suffering from that. So it is very important to be more aware of what you take into your system and shifting to a highly raw food diet is a very good step to take. Now, of course, you know, it is everyone’s choice. It is not like a doctrine or a new religion. I would of course not push you into anything like that. What I want to tell you is that in the beginning when I started, I had my own questions. I was like “Okay, this is going to work for me. This is something that my body can take. This is something that is actually healthy” because I was simply used to what to eat, cooked food. And after two years of experimenting, now, with it I can tell you. It really works. I feel in great health. I don’t have any health problems. I train. I feel fit and I am eating right now, 90% or 95% raw food. The only reason I don’t eat 100% is because I am eating here with somebody and sometimes I am not the one cooking the meals and sometimes I also want to be more convenient for the other person and cook some rice or cook some pastas and add that to diet. But honestly, right now, I think that I am 90% to 95% raw and I feel great. It really works. So if you have any questions on that, go back to my site with VitalCoaching.com and check the Stay Fit Channel. There are a few videos there on simple recipes that you can prepare and also other strategies for diet nutrition and especially in fitness as well. Training, how to establish a good training routine. So all these resources are at VitalCoaching.com/StayFit.htm. And yes, I think that raw food is a very positive step that you can take in your life. This will boost your energy level and I encourage you to give it a try. Take care and bye-bye.
