Natalie: You are not going to believe this okay, I have in my hands a product called tetracolor, it is fish food, so here we go tetracolor look at this right here this is crazy, its says balanced nutrition with procare for optimal health. Now listen how good this is okay, packed with parented procare for optimal health, precise doses of selected vitamins and nutrients help support your fishes immune system by 10 supplement helps maintain their healthy metabolism and omega 3 fatty acids, the healthy fat fish need for energy and growth. So this food right here is even packed with antioxidants. This fish food is scientifically designed for the health of your fish.
So let me ask you this, do you think when you go to Mcdonalds or burger king or Jack in the box what ever it may be, do you think that the food is scientifically designed for your optimal health? I don't think so.
You know may be a scientifically designed to taste really good, you know it's loaded with MSG flavor and hand serves sodium artificial ingredients coloring, texture I mean it's they know what they are doing when they create these items. They want you to want that because it tastes good. And its you know its probably scientifically designed for long self life because you know its shift every fast food join around the nation everything has a taste that same so its extremely processed has to last a long time and you probably seen the videos on you tube where people are set hamburgers out in the corners and they don't get moldy after a month. So you know these foods are probably scientifically designed to keep you eating but they are definitely not scientifically designed for your optimal health.
So really are we feeding our fish better than ourselves, now here is the freaky thing? Could it be that this food is scientifically designed to keep you hungry and keep you eating? I had to directly say you are running the food industry the more food you sell the more money you make. So could it be that this food is designed to keep you hungry keep you craving it and to keep you eating it. Now in my opinion I think this definitely could be the case I think it's possible that food could be engineer to keep you craving it and keep you eating it. And that's what over weight people eat more they order bigger portions, and you know ultimately the food industry has a lot of power because you are eating the food that they are making and they want to make money.
Number 1 is sugar, sugar is in everything now, have you notice looking you know a products and packages and things in the grocery store is in everything, its in ham its in cheese its in beans its in peanut butter I mean stuffy that you would never sprinkle sugar on its in there. It is really every where. And according to the super size mini documentary there are only 7 things on the Mcdonalds menu that doesn't have added sugar. Truly sugar is in everything now.
So let me just go over some other things that are on the Mcdonalds menu that don't have added sugar they have the beef patty, we have pickles we have lettuce we have margarine and mustard, onions, cheese, eggs and peanuts, mayonnaise the Sunday. So these things are actually ingredients so even though you may, you know yeah okay so you are getting mustard, well the mustard is going on something so you are getting your big mac all the mustards going on the big mac and the bread is going to have a sugar in it, any other beef patty doesn't but everything else on there does.
So you know your okay, your eggs but you are getting egg big muffin, and the big muffin have sugar on it, so really we got some what your are eating you are going to have added sugar in it. So why are they adding sugar at everything. Well I have made some other videos about this talking in depth but basically when you eat it surplus sugar it causes massive fluctuations in your blood sugar, so you hit this peak and you get this kind of positive energy but then eventually you crash and when you crash you feel hungry, and so when you are eating this fast food items and they have a all the sugar in them, you are more hungry then you should be because your blood sugar is you know going up and down and then so you are going to be eating more.
Number 2 is MSG, the MSG is a flavor and hands on in it and it is added to a to a tone of food it is known by a scientist that one or two studies on a BCT and IBT's that if they gave a enough MSG to mice these mice will become obese, so they can run the tests, so that's a known fact. So what you think this happening when we are consuming too much MSG, I think the same thing is happening.
Number 3 is low nutrient density foods, so you are eating you know there is high calorie meals fast food meals you know they range any where from 1000-2000 calories, and it doesn't matter how many carbohydrates or how many fat grams you are getting, if you are not getting the nutrients that your body needs the vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, enzymes all those things that are in raw whole foods, you are going to stay hungry because your body still not getting when its needing. So okay say you eat this fast food meal, you actually need Enzymes, vitamins and minerals to digest the food that you ate. So if it doesn't have any in the food you are actually depleting your body, so instead of adding nutrients to your body what you think what happen with when you are eating you are actually depleting your body so that contributes to hunger.
So I really think that this type of food is engineered to keep you eating and to keep you hungry. And you know I have to mention this two about the portion sizes, because in the 1950s the portion size for the hamburger for the adobe hamburger is actually the portion size for the childrens hamburger today. So that digest tells you the difference in you know our concept of portions sizes French fry is used to be 2.1 ounces and now up to 7 ounces, I mean so just to if you look that portion sizes and the change over time and then compare that to the change over time and obesity weights, there is definitely a correlation.
I am making up few videos about the topic of hunger, and those are coming out same so you may want to subscribe, but the point of the video is just to card highlight the problems of fast food and health, it just really seems to me like the food is engineered to guess taste good and last long but also to keep you hungry keep you eating and keep you running it I mean can it be possible that we are feeding our pet fish better than ourselves.
