Williamsburg NY Real Estate Guide
This is Jason Sheftell from the Daily News in Williamsburg. This neighborhood has finally grown up. It has taken its time though. Fifteen, twenty years ago is where houses and stores the sell is. Even Chinese fire cracker plants, boutiques and fashion designers were here and artists of course as well.
Then hipsters came in. The neighborhood almost got ruined. It happened too fast. You had lost with in by five or six people. Now, farmers are finally starting to sell in the neighborhood. You got baby carriers as in kids. Why do they like it here? It’s great, it’s got waterside parks, new developments everywhere and new developments mean pools, pool tables, incredible amenities like gyms. Also places for your children to hang out in the day time when you’re not even there. It’s a little bit easier to live for a family now than it was then.
Behind me are some significant developments like the edge and north side spheres. These water font buildings had about one bedroom for $600,000.00, 700,000.00 or $800,000.00 and two bedrooms for nine and up. The area is great because of its grid. That hasn’t change. It has change as more fat buyers in the neighborhood now. Rents also have gone up slightly. You're very, very lucky scores studio in the $1000.00 side or you have jump on right away. Most goes up for 1200, one bedroom 16 to 18, two bedrooms 2600 or so.
The far away you are from the bed the better it is. On a sale side you can maybe score two family house at 1.4, 1.5 but that’s probably not going to be in a great, great condition, because other great buys here as well the prices have slightly gone down but this neighborhood will improve as it was Brooklyn’s number one neighborhood to really increase in scope and size and place to live as a free will state will begin.
Now with the bust there are issues but they have been maintaining its solidarity and maintaining its value.
