Anytime appears a good time to clean windows, but the trouble is many people I have found use the wrong products and the wrong tools to clean glass. For example, maybe you use the standard blue window cleaner or glass cleaner with some paper towels, how about the old method of using ammonia with some newspaper, rubbing the newspaper on the glass. But the water and the glass cleaner actually dissolve the ink and the ink is left behind on the surface you just cleaned.
All you really need to clean glass the professional way are three simple tools. You need the right solution, soap. It is very similar to the liquid dish washing soap you have in your own home. The most important tool is the actual cleaner. This particular lambswool tool is the scrubber and you use it with the solution and it actually run across the glass and it removes all of the dirt. The final tool is simply the squeegee and the squeegee is used just to remove the excess moisture from the glass. When you use a squeegee, the glass is already clean. I have already got the solution mixed up and all you do is take the lambswool, deep it in the solution, take your hand to wipe off some of the excess water and then you are ready to go and you just simply scrub the glass just like you would scrub a floor. Just take it up and down, back and forth and all of the dirt is coming off onto this one.
To finish the job, you take the squeegee and use it to clean the excess moisture off the glass. When you use a squeegee, the glass is already clean. I like to finish it with one quick run around the edges to get any of the excess water off. Cleaning glass is easy when you got the right tools. I happen to get my squeegee cleaning solution and a scrubber from a local paint store that happens to sell these tools to professional window cleaners. They also have a neat tool that has got a scrubber and a squeegee built in as one. Just take a long-handed pole in it and it comes in very handy if you want to clean second story windows from the ground level. You can get that pole at the same paint store.
