Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder and welcome to part two of our special butterscotch.com 10-part series on Windows Live Messenger. Now on this segment I’m going to look at adding contact. So with Windows Live Messenger open go here to the far side of this little arrows at Shell menu, click on that, move down to contact, and slide across and click on addict content. Now, in the window that comes up instant messaging address, so this for example would be their email address because this is how you’re connected out. So we’ll put an email address in, I can add up personal invitation, join me to chat, send an email to that person. Now, you can select what country there in, put in there mobile number, you can give my nickname, and you can put them in a group, we’ll say coworkers, then I say add content.
Now, you can see here is Bob in the coworkers section. He’ll get the email that invites him and then you’ll see that I can also right click on a contact and I can change his name, change him to a different group, block him, unblock him, call his phone number, connect to him by webcam, and so on. Also with contacts, you can edit your contacts at anytime, delete them, you could create a new group, soccer players, add other group to lead a group. You can sort your contacts. Filter your contacts and so much more.
So this is Windows Live messenger, that’s how you deal with contacts and that concludes part two.
