Hi, this is Mike Callahan, Dr. File Finder and welcome to part three of our special butterscotch.com 10-part series on Windows Live Messenger. Now, on this segment I’m going to look briefly at chatting which is one of the first things that any of the messenger programs did. So in your messenger, when you have contacts, you select one that’s online, double click, that brings up your window, down here is where we can type. Every option to insert emote icons, and they’re called that because there are icons that express emotions, so I put in some cool sunglasses, say “What’s up?” Another thing I can do is change the font, pick a different font and it is more suitable. I’ll see if I can find some kind of a script. And I say I weird but it’s a, you go 12.5, so I’ll change my FAT so now when I type, it’s different.
If you want you can also select a background for your instant messaging and at the same time up here, you’ll notice that you can invite someone else into these conversations, you can have multiple people. You can share your files with John, you can set up a video call with your webcam, call him on the phone, you can see a list of activities you can do. Or if you want you can block this person from seeing you. So if you get and now I’m getting in, you can block them. And then later you can unblock him. And then here is a list of games that you can play.
So this is the chat segment of Windows Live Messenger and that concludes part three.
