So now that we have gotten all of our clips and out titles arranged on our timeline, we are ready to export a final video. To do this, choose file, save movie file, and then it is like my computer and press next, then you are going to name your file and choose the destination. I am going to save it in my videos. Press next, now the default choice best quality for playback on my computer yields a large file size that is good for playing back on your computer. However, it would not go well over the internet. So we are going to click on show more choices and then choose other settings and drop this down, and the setting called “Video for Broadband 512 kbps” is a pretty good setting for sending a file over the internet and posting it to a video service or into a video block.
Another interesting setting here is DV-AVI. This exports a very, very large file that is good for archiving. There are a lot of other settings here and you can export your project into a video format as many times as you want. So you can experiment with a lot of these different settings. For now, we are going to choose the Video for Broadband 512 and then we press next. This step could take a while depending on the length of your project and the speed of your processor. And now we are going to select Play Movie when I click finish and it is going to playback our finalized movie and now we are ready to go on to the next chapter.
