Welcome to Common Man Cocktails. I’m your host Derrick Schommer. This week we are going to cover the Red Headed Slut. This is our theme for the last episode. We did Sex on the Beach and this episode we get Red Headed Slut and you put them together you know what you get.
This drink is going to be different. It’s one of the only ones I’ve found that really utilizes the Jagermeister. A lot of people search for Jagermeister and end up on everydayDrinkers.com mainly because everybody wants to know if it does actually has deer blood in it, no. You could tell your friends it has deer blood if that makes you happy but it has no deer blood. It just got a bunch of spices and crazy stuff and we are utilizing that bottle of Peach Schnapps that we had from the last episode so if you bought the bottle going; “well, it’s only one drink. How many times am I going to make Sex on the Beach?” Well now, you can make a Red Headed Slut; awesome.
And this one’s going to be 2 shot glasses because it makes enough to fit 2 so you can get another his and her pair. Let’s get started. We are going to use our shaker, got our cranberry juice, the red headed part; let’s do a one ounce of Peach Schnapps. Very simple drink it won’t take long at all. All you need is some peach schnapps on hand and a little Jagermeister. I think everybody has Jagermeister. It’s one of those things you stock just for—I do not know; everybody has to have Jagermeister there is always. When parties get out of control, you drag out the Jager, and usually by then, it’s already going to be a bad time.
In this way, you lighten it up a little, put a little cranberry juice in there, a little peach schnapps, you get yourself a little better drink. We’ll do 3 ounces of the cranberry juice. There you go 3 ounce cranberry; one ounce of Jager and one ounce of peach schnapps. Then, you mix it all together.
Now you may want to invest in a good shaker. This one leaks a lot when you start pouring. And there might even be enough in here for 3people Red Headed Slut; do the math. There you go. Check these out. It’s red; believe it or not look at that. It’s also kind of bubbly from the shaking. Smells like intense peaches. If you love peaches, this is the way to go. This is peach. Let’s give it a try.
This is tasty. For some reason, I’m getting like a soda taste. Not Coca Cola per se but maybe an artificial flavored drink like a soda pop that’s got a cranberry juice or like one of those carbonated cranberry juice even though there’s no carbonation. It’s very crisp. The peach is not as intense when you drink it as when you smell it. And I can’t take Jagermeister at all so if you are not a big fan of Jagermeister; you’ve got friends who get turned off by it, tell them to give it as chance, give it a try. Does not taste a lot like alcohol and the cranberry juice kind of takes away some of the alcohol taste without making it over bearing cranberry; just a little cranberry after taste, not much at all and just enough to sour it up a bit. Kind of balance that sweet taste from the peach schnapps.
This is awesome. Highly suggested to try this; this is one of the drinks I probably would not try if I didn’t have a video show. It would not happen. It does not sound like it’s going to be as good as it really taste. So this one here and the way we came up with this; this is a write in; so we thank those who are writing in to us and giving us recipes to work with. So there are recipes and everybody has it. It’s their pride and joy, share them with me. I want to see what it tastes like and give my on impressions.
