The Grip
Grip the deck within your palm. Hold the deck with your thumb, middle finger, and pointer finger. Make sure the deck is held tight and pushed as far back as it can be. This will help later. Hold the deck downwards as not to show the bottom card. Pull of a bit of the deck and make a one-handed fan. Pull off the bottom card of the fan with your fingers. Hide the card you have just pulled by placing the fan between you and your audience. Wave the fan upwards while at the same time curling your fingers in to put the new card into position. From here, just close your fan and place it back with the rest of the deck.
Quick point for look:
Pull off part of the deck and make a fan. Grab bottom card of fan with fingers. Hide card with the fan. Wave and place card in position. Close fan and return to deck.
