Female: Well we all remember the days of America’s funniest home videos and our favorite was voting for the best video from the audience. So what would like to do today is show you what technology which will actually allow the audience to interact with the host of whoever whose a presentation. I got with me here today Ciprain Bandu from duocom, thank you for joining us today Ciprain.
Ciprain: Thank you for having me.
Female: So this technology that were looking at its called a wireless audience response system. Tell what that is.
Ciprain: Wireless audience response system is a tool that meeting facilitators or game show host use to interact with their audience and obtain feedback using yes-no true false or multiple-choice questions.
Female: Can you give you me some real life example of businesses that using this like small medium size businesses?
Ciprain: Absolutely, interactive conferences, workshops and seminars, an annual general meetings, focus groups, marketing, questionnaires and a few voting at a town home meeting for plan or an idea.
Female: Okay, so it seems to be that people all over the place are using this type of technology in order to engage people and find out what the audience is thinking.
Ciprain: Absolutely and it really hits the RY, we turn an investment because they get instant results and they can be use on sight or afterward.
Female: It’s kind of engaging too.
Ciprain: Yeah, yeah absolutely.
Female: So let’s see how this works. I see when we have got some little devices here, it looks like you vote on them and you got a receiver in the back plugged into your laptop. How do these things works together?
Ciprain: Well basically, these devices that are connected through radio frequency and the transmission happen to radio frequency. So the members of the audience will have touch keypads like this one and the receiver is neither plugged into your USB port in the back of the computer or even maybe. And the interaction is once a question is asked then you can choose from the multiple-choice answers. So you choose the answer that corresponds to whatever you think is right or what you like to pick and you just click the clicker.
Female: Well it sound simply enough, lets give a shot.
Ciprain: Okay right!
Female: Let us try it out because I know that you have prepared something fun for us.
Ciprain: Yes that’s right, so here we have a slide that I've prepared and it’s an interactive slide. Now this interactive slide like your regular power point slide but we have made interact so that we can we vote on it. So why don’t we just bring it up to a power point slide show and the question is who is your favorite get connected host?
Female: Okay, so you have prepared this is in advance in power point just using that extra tool bar and it was just as simple as any power point in a location.
Ciprain: Absolutely if you know how to work power point you will know how work this.
Female: And does it work with other software application as well or mostly power point that you would as software that you would make?
Ciprain: It’s a top one product it does work with Max but you have to use the power point of Max keynote. You might to have get a conversation for it.
Female: Okay that is good to know. So we got some help here, we’ve got an audience here and no pressure from the people out there for who you going to vote for but lets put it out the audience right now. Everyone grab their little devices and I guess; oh, everyone is voting already okay.
