"I am about to buy a wireless router for my college dorm room; looking for one with N since my laptop can use it. Why do the costs vary so much? What makes one better than another? I'm looking for one within since my laptop can use it. Why do the costs vary so much, what makes one—other and anything else I should look for when choosing a model?” Some great questions here, I can tell you what I'm using and what I've been using for years is dealing products to find them fast, reliable and overall a really good router. I'm currently using the D-Link Xtreme N Gaming Router. But before that I was using the D-Link DI 655 router. That is still a great router. I have no problems or no issues with that and whatsoever. So, either one those you'll be fine. The differences between routers can vary between companies. Sometimes they're not brand name like links or D-Link routers and the normally brand names will cost a little bit more. Sometimes there’s variations between the speeds on the routers, the technologies that they include and so on and so forth. But if you go with a brand name and router, you should be more than happy with your wireless signal. I hope this answers your question and keep your questions coming.
