My question: I have tried to research Philadelphia, PA electrical code concerning the wiring of under the cabinet kitchen lights. I was told by a friend that you may not use 10 AWG 2/C (AWM STYLE 21314 105 C E18424K wire on the inside walls) The inside walls must have a romex wire then a connector which attaches to the wire listed). Can you give me accurate information. Thank you.

Wiring Up a Light Fixture

Light fixtures over tables are not a problem in tables on position but when the tables are out of way, a light fixture can become a safety hazard. Hi, I am Tim Carter and let me show you how not to apply a light fixture to your forehead when you remodel. To get the light out of the way, take some sturdy wire and cut a four-inch long piece with the wire cutters. Lift the light fixture up to the ceiling and insert this wire through the ring of the light fixture and then loop it through the top ring of the Es cushion plate at the ceiling, twist the wire several times to ensure it will not come apart. Wiring up a light fixture close to the ceiling saves time, prevents head injuries and it will also give you some light during remodeling job. If you want also added protection, think about removing this colored light shade and store those during the job as well. I am Tim Carter from AsktheBuilder.com.
