Today I’m going to review Wise Calculator. A software that’s a better calculator replacement and this is actually the version I have meant to review. I reviewed the different calculator yesterday by mistake, so wisecalculator.check.true is the website to get it and if you just type it into your browser, you can go ahead and download.
The website is in English so you won’t have any problems for having the application. If you just save it to your desktop or anywhere else it’s actually very quick to download, only 810 to 6 kilobytes and very quick to install and installs on all versions of windows even the older ones like 2000 millennium, or maybe you have Windows98. And the first time you start the application actually allows you to choose between English or Russian as the user interface. The software was written by Mr. Pavel Nikolovski from Russia so then, there’s user interface language selection.
If you speak English, you click default English every time until you change it. And that’s the interface of the program, very simple, very clear, has a download features for any calculation you need that you might have. Be it scientific, be it something for home and well, actually I use for home. And I’ve used it for a lot of things and it’s quite handy to have this installed. And it’s free works so you don’t have to pay anything or violate any laws to have this software.
There’s a few examples included in the demonstration photo that calculating more on mass, electron mass, speed of light, anything you want. If you have students, you might use it to calculate out some of the assignments you have. And well, I won’t suppose that cheating maybe just way kind of find out what the right answer is and compare to your own results.
The software actually let’s you two dialogue boxes so you might try the short calculation in which this software will ask you to input some details like temperature or speed or length or mass, anything. And that’s just easier for you to work out on the same calculation and adjust it as you go and reuse the same calculation for different purposes. In this example, it asks me for my name and then if you just put in your name it gives the result and all mark in, quite simple application. Not only that, can work with dates, can work with time, might due time calculation, date calculation like find out what day of the week it was 29 years ago when you were born or what date of week it will be when your father’s birthday or it’s your mother’s birthday is. And more and more things like that.
What I actually use it for is home use for finding out calories, calculating calories, proteins, how much fat, how much carbohydrates of available food have, and for recipes at home. And if you just quickly look at this calculation, a gram of fat actually has 9 calories, gram of protein or carbohydrate has each four calories. So if you don’t know how much calories are there in a dish, but you know how much fat, proteins and carbohydrates you’re going to actually calculate out the caloric output. So I’ll define the variables as they are and that’s the calculation and I’m done there. So calories in my soup let’s say, the combination of the fat, the protein and the carbohydrates and I might actually calculate out whatever it works out to be. And in my experience, you sometimes find out that the manufacturers of certain foods actually round up the numbers of calories to a lower number just to make you feel good about yourself and not be worried that you’re eating too many calories . And that’s just a simple example how it might be used is very simple but the program actually can do much more than that. But it’s all good to me for practical purposes that I have.
Now you might use it for things like recipe unit conversions because sometimes recipes contain some of the ingredients are in grams, some are in cups and sometimes you might have an ingredient which is flour. You have flour in grams, in the actual recipe but you don’t have kitchen scales so the only thing you have is a kitchen cup let’s say. And a lot of people don’t use scales in the kitchen so if you just—it’s not as easy to come out for volume cube mass but it is possible. So if you just find out on the entry of the fewer sites so somewhere else the conversion factor can actually make a calculation and reuse it and reuse it again and again to find out what the ingredients are, how much of the ingredients you should use.
So let’s say if you had flour cup is 125 grams if it’s regular white flour. And if so you have two cups in the recipe it means we have to have 250 grams so that’s one quarter of a kilogram pack. And just as easy as that and I can’t really remember now but you can use it for a lot of purposes at home, it’s free work. You don’t have pay anything for it, you might want to give it a try. And well that’s it, and the thing is that I actually used it, tried it out, it’s very quick to download and install it, use it for yourself and see what you think. And this was the video from softwareslant.com, a video review. So visit the site for more reviews if you want. Thank you!
