Welcome to this episode the Body Performance, I am Steve Turano I get this question a lot with regards to weight lifting for ladies. I want to lift heavyweight because I want to become huge in muscle bound and look like you, well there is couple factors that would prevent that.
Number one, you are a lady. Number two, you do not have much as muscle as in that, Number three your muscles are not the same shape as ours and number four you do not have enough testosterone fully around your system.
If you want to make a change in your body, you have really got to work it. The body is resistance to change it like staying the same. So, when you hit the weight room you need to lift weights in lift weights with in intensity. Understand it is the intensity of muscular contraction it causes changes, they causes the muscles to become more firm.
It is not their number of contractions. If that were true everybody would have a nice stronger arm and great legs for walking around. But it is the intensity of contractions and the intensity of contractions comes from using a heavier weight. So when go to the gym and you watch people lift men and women.
They have working out quite they have second to get a hold the conversation at the same time. This is not intense to add more intensity and more effectiveness to your work out. You need to handle some more weight.
What is the magic number and what is the magic rep? Everybody wants to know, there is no number. Sometimes you could use a heavy weight lifted 68 times. Where you could go little lighter one day and lift it 10 or 12 times. There is no magic number but we have to do is lift with in intensity.
It is got to be difficult to make a change. If changes in the body came quickly and great body is easy to get. Professional athletes would not have to take steroids, believe me it will not happen overnight. I train all my clients, men and women, young and old with heavy weights. Love your body.
