Creating the Classic Red Lip
Play up the lips with red. Before we begin—if playing up the lips, play down the eyes.
What you will need: Lip conditioner (lip brush), Red lipstick (Matching red lip liner), and tissue.
Step one: Prep lips with lip conditioner.
Step two: Create a “V” over Cupid’s bow liner.
Step three: At the tip, trace natural lip line down to corner. Repeat same motion on opposite side to ensure a symmetrical shape.
Step four: Mark liner on the bottom lip line at the center.
Step five: Continue tracing natural lip line to the corner. Repeat motion on opposite side.
Step six: Sit side of liner on lip line and drag color in. This will prevent separation of the liner and lip stick.
Step seven: Coat lip brush with lipstick. Evenly fill lipstick within the lines. The lip brush is the key for precision.
Step eight: Touch up the edges with lip liner.
Step nine: Blot firmly with tissue to absorb excess moisture.
