Alright guys so here we go. This is how to set World of Warcraft up to play on your Wii.
So first of all make sure that your Wii is as close to your computer as possible. My computer is actually down there and the center part is of course, on top of your television. Now, you only need a program called Darwin Remote, which you can download of with my blog or you can get in from Wiili.org for the Darwin Remote program.
So as you can see I have got my Wii remote and I have got Darwin Remote running. So what I want to do first of all is connect my remote. So I am going to push the one or two buttons simultaneously to put into discoverable mode, and hopefully Darwin Remote will find it and there we go. See it has found and you have got different graphs out there.
Now it's a cool program. I have showed it before in the Wii Cast. It now supports the IR sensors. So now that you have got your Wii close to computer and it's plugged in you don't have to plug the Wii into the television. Just make sure that you have power. Once it's connected to the computer, then all you want to do is turn on your Wii, so that, of course, the sensor bar turns on. Now, you want to turn on your IR sensor on the program and put it into the mouse mode and there you go. As you can see, I have my Wii remote as a perfectly calibrated mouse for my computer.
The only problem with the program is it, as if now, doesn't let you customize the buttons, and so there is no right click functionality. This is all mapped by the way. There is a program called Wiindows Remote, which can do this in Windows. So let's go ahead and set up World of Warcraft.
Alright, so as you can see I have got World of Warcraft setup and my Wii remote control is controlling the mouse. Now this is really cool, because with the setting right now to move, you push the directional pads back and forward, you can turn right and left. So I'll just give you a quick little thing in here. Toward Darkshire, I have got my sacculus. So you push A to basically select and control things and because there is no right mouse button functionality on the controller yet, you have to shift click in order to talk to people or interact with things. So I will hold on as soon as my sacculus gets out of the way.
Hold down my -- and there you go and you will stay with you path or whatever. So it makes battle pretty easy because all of your things are hotkey done here unless you have added on to might be somewhere else, but you just point and click on wherever you want. So let's say for instance if I want to give myself underwater breathing I can do that. So it's really cool. It's a great way of play a Warcraft when you don't want to have to use a keyboard and the mouse. As soon as everything becomes mapped to it, it's going to be completely awesome.
It's just one more reason to buy a Wii remote control, aside from playing your Wii games; you can also use it on your PC now. So very cool and that's about it for the week, so play safe.
