Welcome to Common Man Cocktails. I’m your host, Derrick Schommer
Today we’re going to create something extraordinary. Well, it's just the X-Rated Tiara, this is an x-rated recipe. I realized that we- I tried to always do three of everything. I haven’t in a Blueberry Vodka. I’m going to find a way to work in more Blueberry Vodka.
But most everything I’m trying to get a list three very things today so everybody can say, “Oh I get there’s a nice stuff here like a work with the kind of really expand my pallet”. And so I’m going to do with another x-rated, haven’t done it awhile. I’ll probably do another one maybe next week or soon.
So, get your bottles ready. This drink is probably just going to be full of awesome and warm you up right now. You might just keep having a drink this in it. It could be a rough night. One ounce of X-Rated, one ounce of Crown Royal or Canadian Whiskey. I have a bigger bottle of Canadian Club that I have at Crown Oil so I thought maybe I’d go with that one instead. If you’ve whatever probably use anything but try and go with Canadian if you can’t because its going to have its taste you might like little pucker, just a splash, Apple Pucker, just a splash of cranberry juice, a splash of what is this lime juice. This is a splash of pineapple juice. We’re going to Garnish with the fresh cherry popped down on the side of our cocktail glass and we’re good to go.
I’m going to double the ingredient. So I’m just going to do two of everything because I have a feeling, I don’t have this but I have a feeling we needed a second one. And I've got somebody else who might want it one. So, we’re going to give this a try, no idea but I’m telling you right now you’ll probably going to want to put your taste buds, get them ready because this is going to be some seriousness.
So, let’s do- Oh it's sticky. The sound of awesome. So, I’m going to do two ounces. The end of the show, the rest here will show one. You do whatever you think you need to do to make this job get done. Passion fruit, the taste of everything about Hawaii. We’re going to do two ounces in this for those who haven’t kiss. See the label as very good as the Canadian Club reserved ten years.
So it’s a 10-year old Canadian Whiskey and four splash, I want to -- I’m going to do like a, I don’t know, a half ounce because these two drinks are here. I really think that splash is like a court of an ounce. So, we’re going to do a half ounce of mole as our splash plus I like a mole. Pineapple, pineapple, this is like a drink from the Tropics. Throw ice in there. Shake this up.
I’m getting excited. You know what? You guys could see it over there because this takes center stage. And with the leftover is over there. And finally, what I did is I cut a little slice in this Maraschino Cherry, so that it would sit on the edge. My stem is a little busted up, had a rough night. There you go. That’s your X-Rated Tiara. Check it out.
It’s very similar to the Grateful Death. Not to the more peachy peach then purple plus it's kind of looks cool. It’s get the little hangy guy over there. You can put the cherry in the middle if that’s your deal. It smells like good in this. This has it all, not tasting too much whiskey. Actually, it's a little after taste of some whiskey but not like a whiskey sour but some place in between.
Overall, if you pictured yourself in Hawaii, white sand, blue water, this is the drink that you’ll probably imagine yourself drinking. It got a lot of simple awesomeness to it. It’s got tropical passion fruits and apples and pineapples and all these in a little bit of Cranberry. It’s a perfect drink. This is the X-Rated Tiara.
If you’re in the sweet drinks, let me see if it’s really sweet. The thickness too. Actually not that sweet. There is intensity in the alcohol. Definitely, it’s not hiding, it's the sweetness doesn’t mask all the alcohol. You’re going to get a little bit of a kick in there. You’re going to notice in alcoholic drink. So, there you go, your X-Rated Tiara.
