Hey in this gear review we’re going to be taking a look at the Yamaha FGX720SC— and
it’s known for 399 it is not a bad guitar for something that comes with electronics and a
cutaway and a solid top. It’s pretty cool. Now the wood on top like I said solid sitka
spruce I believe a really nice feature to any guitar. It makes it sound a little bit fuller
when you get a solid top you know and the back and sides would is what Nato. I believe
it’s called Nato. It’s from Africa and it’s kind of a new wood that’s kind of helping to
supplement the dwindling mahogany supply.
So if you’ve never heard of that before that’s a new trend that you can come from out of
it but it is a laminated even it’s that kind of wood nato wood. Neck, same thing I believe.
You could put that in mahogany I believe its nato wood. Really relate electronics on it
comes with a built in tuner. Most guitars in this price range and it’s class are coming with
a built in tuners on it nowadays so it’s really cool still but you know it’s becoming more
and more common.
Low mid ties and sweep of the meds to so you can kind of filter out the frequencies you
want to boost so less frequently. Now other than that for the money for something under
$400 I would really recommend going. If that’s all you can spend this is a really great
option for it but if you can go up to you know 5 or 6 you know when I check out some of
the stuff that Taylor for more and half style for I think you have a little more bottom end
and nothing more full sound. This is but as far as compared to like other brands and
expressions it’s like top Ibanez —
I think I would personally think rather have a Yamaha just because I think the set up on
them is a little bit more consistent and I think the sound is a little bit more fuller the
Ibanez or the Takamine again that’s personal preference you have to go out there and see
what you like for yourself and this one 399 gets you the natural finish. Believe it comes
in black to for that price and then you can get a sunburst finish for like $419.99 so go
check these out if you’re looking for an acoustic electric with cutaway for under 400
bucks.
