Male2: Hey, in this gear review we're going to be taking a look at the Yamaha Gigmaker Standard Package deal. It’s around 150 bucks, depending on what finish. If you get the natural finish, it’s about 150, I think it goes up to 170 if you go for the sun burst one.
It comes with picks, strings and all that stuff. All that extra package. All the accessories that you need to start playing guitar. I’ll show you those in just a second.
This guitar is all laminated. If you don’t know what that means, that just means it’s made of plywood. It’s not solid wood like solid chunk of wood. And my recommendation if you're really serious about playing guitar and you want a better sound. This one is cool, but if you want to move up maybe to a $200.00 package, the Gigmaker deluxe has a solid top on it. This is really cool because you get a little bit fuller sound. Let’s take a look at the accessories that come with this.
Okay, here are all the accessories that come with the Gigmaker. You got a strap, extra strings, digital tuner, quick tune, start up DVD instructional, and three picks and of course the gig bag it comes with. Gig bag is pretty tight fit on the guitar, so it’s kind of irritating to have to put it in there over and over again. But eventually it loosens up a bit and it’s not too bad. Strap and the tuner are getting the job done but they're still a little cheap. But what do you expect for 150 bucks for this pack.
So overall the Gigmaker Standard is a pretty good value for the money if you're looking for a starter guitar in a package form that comes with all the accessories and stuff you needed to start playing. Now if you want to, it’s probably be a good idea to upgrade to the Gigmaker deluxe which has a solid top on it, not like this one. This one is made up of all laminated wood that just means its plywood. The deluxe model with the solid top will give a nicer sound and a lot more bass to it. You might want to consider that.
Right out of the box, it played pretty well. I have no complaints about how the way it sounds, which is nice. It’s decent for a guitar that cost 150 bucks and it stays in tune for you.
