Hey what is up this is Jared Hill and I just came across this quote that I had seen a while ago, but I was reminded of it. It is by Eleanor Roosevelt who said “no one could make you feel inferior without your consent.”
Now, I know a lot of people that I talk to have issues with self esteem in certain areas and self confidence and stuff like that because especially in business, it is really easy to look and see what the other people are doing and decide there is no possible way that I could compete with that.
Now, that is a misconception because what they are doing is they are niche in what works for them. What you do is your niche and what could work for you and by letting yourself get all upset over the fact that somebody else is doing something and saying to yourself there is no way that I can compete with them, that is cutting yourself short. You know, there are a lot of things out there. They are going to make us feel inferior. We could go full boar in to something, think we are doing the best out it, how people telling us that we are the best at it, then somebody else comes along and they do just as good of a job or better in a smaller amount of time.
You know, that is no big deal because this is a big world, we live in the United States which is a huge country with huge opportunities, endless opportunities and so to allow yourself to get all messed up over the fact that somebody else is doing something, they have not came out and said anything about you and this is where I get confused.
People say “oh, how could I compete with so and so or there a way better at this than I am”. How do you know? How do you know what is better.
They are better at it to their customers, you are better at it to your customers and all you have to do is believed in that. You have to believe that the value that you add to your customers is what your customers are looking for and they are not going to find that in anywhere else.
It is just a huge misconception and I wanted to talk about that for a couple of minutes. Your ability to get all messed up over the fact that somebody else is doing something somewhere else is all in your mind. It is all in your mind and it is only going to affect you if you allow it to affect you.
So if you get all messed up and all down in the funk over the fact that somebody else is doing the same business as you and they are doing a good job at it, then you know, you just have to get over that because you can do exactly what it is that you are passionate about.
Go out there and change the world and your business or industry, just doing what you are passionate about and not allowing other people to get it under your skin because they are not even attacking you.
Some people out there may and if they are who cares? Just move on, do your work, be real, be yourself, stay focus and do not allow them change you. Do not become what they have became. Work with what? You have been given which is your personality and the way that you do the things and evolve that and add value to that so that your customers see that there is no possible reason that they should go anywhere else or try doing business with anybody else because you give them exactly what it is that they desire and that is a good service from you because you are the one that they are trusting in and believing in and they cannot get that somewhere else.
So, just wanted to talk about that today, hope you have an excellent day. Do not let other people what they are doing and what they are saying and how they do business mess you up. It is all in your head.
You can keep it real on your own without getting mess up by what other people are doing. So, just wanted to give you a little booster kick in the pants or something like that just to let you know what you have or what it takes is in here already. It is in you. You just have to get over the fact that there are other people out there in the world doing what you are doing. You can do it, the way that you are design to do it.
