Zoom Zoom is a racing game to the iPhone with a twist. Instead of driving your race car around the track using the touch screen or the accelerometer, this app only uses the microphone. To move your car, you’ll either need to blow in to the microphone or make a loud noise constant. If you try the blowing approach, chances are you’ll find yourself slipping and making car noises.
This App has no sound effects whatsoever as the developer’s intention was for you to be the sound effects in this game. Kind of cool but definitely gimmicky. Your car is on the track very much like the toys of our youth if you give it too much gas around the corner you’ll derail and apparently explodes. Well, we’re not quite sure why you explode exactly we’re not complaining either failure should have been tolerated. Once you explode, you’ll pop back onto the track and get to continue where you left off. The timer continuous to run however.
This game isn’t easy to master and you’ll find yourself flying of the track very easily. The lack of a break function is pretty frustrating as well. They do have a multiplayer mode if you want to challenge your friend over local Wi-Fi. But overall, this App is just a bit too gimmicky for long term enjoyment. Definitely a great app to show little kids but you should probably tell them to make loud noise over speeding into your microphone.
