card trick - Shufflle as much as you want

Today I am going to show you a magic trick. I call this magic trick “shuffle it as much as you want, I will still find your card”.

First, I am going to show you the magic trick then I am going to reveal the secret. Here you go. First, I am going to show you the deck that is not a set of cards, or a trick card. I am going to make you choose a card, pick a card. Let us say you chose this one. Memorize the card then I am going to put it down. Now, I am going to shuffle the cards just in case you think it is a set of card. First, I am going to mix in a normal way, like so. Second, I am going to mix it Las Vegas style way, like so. One more time.

I am going to mix it my way, back and forward, back and forward. Just mix it; mix the cards every which way. Put your card on top of the deck and I am going to cut the deck in half. Put your card in the middle. So this was not your card, or the bottom card is not your card. There is one card that is flipped up, that is your card.

This is an amazing card trick. And now, I am going to reveal the secret. First, you do not even have to set up the cards. You make them choose any card he wants—this one, any card, three of diamonds. It does not matter. You could put it down and make him show his card with everybody around. The secret is in the mixing. First, you just shuffle that normally. Second, Las Vegas way, but there is a trick to this one. When you mix it, curve the cards. Mix it again, make sure the card curves when you do this. So when you grab it, just curve the cards like this. And then you are going to pretend that you are going to shuffle it back and forth, back and forth. Just grab it, go slow. You can go fast if you practice like this. But in reality, one side is this way and another side is like this.

You grab it, like so. Since the card is curved—if you look at the back, there is a little gap. So you hold it out like this and there is a little gap here.
