Most significant instruction in the video: "Wait 10 minutes". In fact, all the other steps, including the grapefruits, can be omitted. If you wait ten minutes, often the battery will recover sufficiently to start the engine. If you wait enough multiples of ten minutes, someone may come along and assist you. If you put two grapefruits on your car battery terminals, you will achieve nothing, except looking really stupid.

damn lies. no way in hell this can work. if you even try it, you're the biggest sucker in the world. You'd probably even buy magnets to put on your fuel lines or an electric "superchargers too!

Not magic
This will NOT charge a dead battery. what it WILL do is use the grapefruit acid to break down the oxidation layer between the battery terminals and the lugs, allowing more current to flow. It's the equivalent of applying terminal cleaner, except now your terminals are all sticky. I can of coke will accomplish the same feat.
