iKit Checkmate Leather Case for the iPhone 3G
What’s up guys, Snazzy iPhone Hacker here, and today I have case review from iKit.com. iKit.com, they make some great cases over there. Really stylish and sophisticated cases and even stuff for fun like waterproof head phones, come on guys, that’s really cool.

If you guys saw my un-boxing video, I got this case and a white one for the iPod Touch 2G which is right here. Alright, this is going to be a giveaway guys, not just yet, wait until I hit may be thousand subscribers, guys.
But, they have black and white color skins as you guys saw and it is available for the iPod Touch 2G in black and white, the iPhone 3G in black and white and the iPod Nano 4th generation in black and white.
This case is just amazing guys, had not yet used it actually outside, but I have put it on my phone a couple of times and it is awesome guys.
Really cool case, so, here we go, I should open it up. As you guys can see, really nice packaging, for that show but you can feel the leather on the back which is great. It comes with a screen protector and a limited lifetime warranty from iKit.com, once again, nice packaging.
As soon as you take it out of the box, you can smell the leather from here guys. I mean, just smells great. Oops, there goes the screen protector that just feel out. As you guys can see, a nice clearest screen protector is included, alright. Nice picture of a beach, take that out, and just like in the hip holster, the executive hip holster for iPhone 3G which has that really nice suede on the inside.
This iPhone 3G checkmate leather case has really nice velvety suede on the inner part of the iPhone. This is great for protection guys and just really keeps your phone from getting scratched easily okay. It is really cool.
And yes, you guys can see it is cowhide leather I believe, let me check, double check that. It is stylish, premium grade cow’s leather case. Okay, so, sorry guys but this is from cow’s leather. I don’t care, it feels amazing guys.
The texture on this is just awesome, you guys kind of see, that is cow leather case alright, premium grade. We have the word iKit on the bottom, really nice and subtle, okay. It doesn’t stick out too much but you can tell that’s iKit product which are some top quality products okay, really nice.
The way you put this case on is really nice and simple. You just got to take in the front, I mean, put it and just drop it in through the top piece, goes in nice and easily. As you guys can see, this is very form fitting case. Okay, goes in nice and easily.
You have access to all your side ports okay, and this is definitely the best case I’ve had for accessing silent switch, really easy to turn it on and off, the volume ringer, super easy, alright. Up top, access to all your ports up top okay as you guys can see, works nice and easily.
The side is also open there, camera hole cut out, could have been a little bit better but it works guys, it doesn’t get in the way of the camera. It’s a pretty good cut out alright. It’s just a little bit low I guess, I guess it didn’t work the case in still.
You do get quite some leap, which means that you can drop this face flat and your phone is completely protected. The face of your phone is protected, so you’re great there guys.
As you guys can see this does not really mess up your screen protector okay, because it does not push it up which is great. If you're going to drop it like this, I mean it’s not exactly level so you're protected there. Protected all around, guys this thing bounces because that’s how much leather and just protection that is in this case guys.
Feels really great in the hand, it does add a little bit of bulk but that is because you're getting a leather case which by the way looks great from any point of view alright. If you have a wide iPhone, I suggest you get the wide case because you can, it doesn’t just like go off tone as much, you know what I’m saying.
So this just looks great guys. The seams are very nice and parallel as you can see, not one side is over the other. You have perfect access to your bottom ports alright so, you're perfectly fine with that.
Docking it, you can not dock this case like so, you can’t just put in your iHome Logitech, anything like that okay. You can’t do that, but taking this case in and out is really simple okay.
Push your finger through the bottom okay, once you get about that far, just slip it out through there or you can just grab it on top and slide it out.
Once again I’ll show you that again, slide it in like that, really nice and easily. You can try pulling out from side, doesn’t really work, so you're going to want to push it from the bottom and then you can get more grip and pull that phone out nice and easily.
It does kind of clean your iPhone while it’s in there, which is really, really cool, since it has so much suede and velvet and on the inside but I don’t know what it is. But it just feels great, it’s all the way around, it is even on the upper part. So you get complete protection guys.
You guys can see that it is not really that thick. But it does add a little bit of bulk. Probably just as much bulk as the, as the outer box defender would or not outer box defender because I never had one but around the same amount of bulkage as a spec candy shelf, but this just looks so much more executive and so much more stylish than any other case that I’ve own okay.
Except for that Elan photography, it’s really cool. But, sorry but this case retails for, I’ll find out that right now guys for you. But this case is just totally worth it guys. I really, support the iKit channel. They have supported me big time and I’m going to tell you, I’m going to be straight forward with you guys one the stuff that I don’t like too. I’m not just going to be airing up the company.
One of the things I don’t like is the fact that you can’t dock this case. Although it’s no big deal getting it out. Another thing I don’t like is the fact that it’s just a plain black leather case, although that’s not a big deal at all, that’s what most things are. But what I do love, this case is only $20 guys.
$20 from iKit.com, you can go to SenaCases.com, who make great quality product, I’m not saying anything against them because they’re great but they’re asking like 40, 50 bucks you know.
This case right here is $20 on the iKit.com store and they come in 2 different colors and it comes with the screen protector okay. If you're looking for your first leather case, and you're not trying to spend a whole bunch of money, you’ll get premium quality leather cases, alright, which is this right here, which is premium grade, feels great in the hand, has a great texture, really protective guys.
I mean this is really protective and it’s only $20, which I think is a steal personally. It protects you from all it’s nasty scratches from dragging around. This is not really a trap lint, I did have some dust there on my table but look, that’s all it attacks and go like this, and it comes right off pretty much alright.
Comes off nice and easily and if you put this on your pocket, it’s not going to trap the lint. It does have a good rubberize texture, not rubber leather texture to it and there’s not much to say. This is case is just really bad ass guys.

I can’t wait to get my hands on that. They even make stuff for the iPod Shuffle 4G. I think 4th generation I’m not sure but it is just, oh, iPod Shuffle 3rd generation I’m sorry. And they make stuff for the iPod Nano 4th generation, that’s what I meant, like this Checkmate.
