Mike Agerbo: One of the great things about music is that you can enjoy it by yourself or share it, that’s I think the better thing to do. You can do that with stereos, ghetto blasters. But what if you got an iPod and you want to listen to music together?
Well in the past, you’d get I guess a headphone splitter and then you’d have wires all over the place but—
Lindsay Smith: Totally, too connected
Mike Agerbo: Too connected, well you can go wireless now.
Lindsay Smith: That is true, we’ve got the i2i Stream and it’s these two little devices here which can hook up to any MP3 player and they speak to each other, so basically Mike doesn’t have to have his own MP3 player, he can be anywhere within 30ft of me and he can be listening to the same thing that I am.
The way it works is you plug one of them into your MP3 player’s headphone jack with this little cable here which comes with the i2i Stream. You then plug the other—well, the other headphones, your headphones into the end of the i2i Stream. You pick your channel, it cast about seven of them in there and you can tell which channel you are on by the color when you press this little button here and as long as our colors match up, it means we’re on the same channel and then this means that Mike can rock it out to the same thing and like I said he does not have to have his own MP3 player. He is actually listening to the same thing that I am.
Mike Agerbo: Well yeah, that’s the thing, you can actually buy additional little receiver so you can have a whole group of folks listening to the iPod at the same time and you know where would you do this? I don’t know if you’d be hanging out on the park doing it but maybe at work for example.
Lindsay Smith: It might be a good thing at work because you can always listen to speakers or music out loud so to able to have one person’s MP3 player hooked up to one of these devices and then have other multiple ones going on at the same time. That is kind of neat.
Mike Agerbo: The only downside I think for me was the price.
Lindsay Smith: Yeah it’s about $60.00 or $70.00 for just a single one or you can buy them together for a $100.00 to $120.00 depends on where you’re finding them. It’s a little bit pricey I think if you’re going out there and buying it on your own because then you may go, well I’ll just buy my own MP3 player.
Mike Agerbo: So, if you want to get rid as some of the clutters as far as you know, a headphone splitters and then what have you when you’re sharing music from one digital music player, you want to have look at something like this. It’s called the i2i Stream. It’s wireless and you can be up to 30ft away.
